The whole property is always maintained and there is daily housekeeping available. The staff are doing their job to keep the whole place tidy and whatever they can, they do. There are some instances beyond their control however, just like the faint unpleasant smell around the pool area probably caused by the constructions going on beside the property.
The rooms are spacious, dreamy and comfortable. It is clean and the bathroom is functional. As an eco-resort, you will notice that there is almost no plastic in the room. The water bottles are made of glass as well as the complimentary drinks in the minibar. The overall design of the resort is charming and creates a very warm and comfortable feeling.
There is no beach. The pool is great and of good size. There are deck chairs all around it but there are no sun loungers so guests cannot really lie on their back for sun tanning. There is a Jacuzzi on the side of the pool and the design is very attractive.
The hotel is close to everything but far enough from the noise. It is in a quiet and beautiful location and if you want to go to town center for supplies, you can just hire a local trike for a cheap price. It is also close to tourist places.

The Pride Rock is one of the best highlights of the Funny Lion. It has the most magnificent views of the Coron Bay and features 2 Jacuzzi tubs with warm water. There is also a bar that serves delicious cocktail drinks, beer and wine. Every afternoon, there is free snack for everybody on the deck and guests can take advantage of their happy hour. On weekends, the staff organize the finest grill buffet with a wide array of grilled dishes.
The hotel doesn’t have many other facilities, which might be its only downside. There are no gym or spa, even though you can get an excellent massage in your room. This is more than made up for by the fact the staff at the Funny Lion are always willing to go the extra mile to accommodate their guest’s special requests.
