Bohol Beach Club is one of Panglao’s best gems. This newly renovated 4-star property offers a unique and authentic experience with a dash of luxury and comfort. Perfect for younger couples, families with kids and groups of friends, Bohol Beach Club boasts of its expansive grounds, a young and vibrant atmosphere and the most beautiful beach on the island.
Among other resorts on the island of Panglao, what really sets Bohol Beach Club apart is their love of Filipino culture and heritage. In the evening, the hotel showcases Filipino talents with cultural dance presentations to entertain the guests. This is so much better compared to hotels with live bands so loud that it becomes more disconcerting than entertaining. Still, this hotel is all about fun, with their beach bar and host of activities they offer to guests.
Although smaller than South Palms (the other resort on that beach), Bohol Beach Club has more than enough space to make guests feel freedom and privacy. The location is more than ideal as the new airport and tourist attractions are all just a short drive away. Bohol Beach Club is also more affordable compared to South Palms and the service is very good. This makes BBC a great option if you want to save money without compromising on quality.
The staff of Bohol Beach Club are always accommodating and nothing is ever too much for them. They are efficient and they always have a ready smile on their face. They are also very talented as proven by their great dance presentations.
The expansive grounds are all covered in grass and are kept clean on a daily basis. Public areas are also immaculate. They change the towels and beddings regularly and housekeeping is available daily and upon request. When it comes to the overall design, the resort is very functional and PWD’s are certainly thought of when they constructed the property.
The rooms are all spacious, light, and well-designed. Modern amenities are standard and for PWD’s, there are access rooms where they can easily move about with handlebars, wider doors and ramps. Pet lovers also have designated rooms where they can comfortably stay with their pets (some rules apply). The only downside is the sound-proofing in the rooms. It needs to be improved.
The beach is certainly one of the main highlights of Bohol Beach Club. The sands are powdery white with a wide expanse. It is kept clean and there are enough sunbeds and hammocks for the guests. The pool is also clean and nice.
The location would have been excellent if it is easy for other guests to take a transport to nearby places. Unless you have your own transport, you will struggle a little bit in finding a trike or taxi. Other than that, the location is more than ideal for peace and quiet and proximity to nearby tourist attractions and the airport is excellent.
Bohol Beach Club offers fantastic value for money. You get extra value from cultural shows in the evening and the food is also reasonably priced. Breakfast is a bit lacking though in terms of selection, but for the price of the rooms per night you get an amazing 4 stars hotel.
When it comes to food choices, Bohol Beach Club is also proud to serve herbs and vegetables directly from their own farm inside the resort. This ensures the guests of the quality of the food they are served with. The Green Rooms are also designed to be eco-friendly where amenities provided are reusable and less harmful to the environment.
Bohol Beach Club is certainly one of the best-rated beach resorts on the island. With Tripadvisor, the overall score is 4.5 where 58% said their experience was excellent and only 3% rated terrible. In Booking.com, the reviews are not yet that much but it is at 9.1 where most of their guests gave the highest credit to cleanliness and staff at 9.4. The Wi-Fi however was only at 6.6. Finally, with Agoda.com, 96% of those 2236 reviews highly recommends Bohol Beach Club to their family and friends. The overall score is a fabulous 9.1. Guests of Bohol Beach Club are most satisfied with the stunning beach and pristine waters. Some commented about the shallow waters but it is what makes it all the more ideal for kids, PWD’s and the elderly. The sunrise views are always stunning and the hammocks by the beach are always a welcome treat. Service is also another thing that guests never fail to mention. They love how staff are so friendly and little details like notes and small treats left in the room every day deserve some credit. On the other hand, some negative comments are minor like the water from the outdoor shower smells and tastes salty, breakfast selection is limited although the food is really good. Other negative comments are more into added improvements like sound-proofing in the room, noise from nearby resort, infant-friendly facilities and readily available transport for guests who want to go out of the resort.
